Download the UR firmware files for the update from the UR Legacy Download Center below ROBOT SOFTWARE UPDATE LEGACY (Polyscope update). The updates you need depend on your current software version on the controller.
If your software version is one of the yellow sections, you need to install incrementally until version 5.5.
If your software version is one of the blue sections, you can update directly to any green version.
If your software version is one of the green sections, you can update directly to any green version.
Download the required update files and extract them to a USB stick.
Start the controller.
Plug the USB stick to the UR Controllers or Teachpendants USB port.
On the UR Teach Pendant, open the Hamburger Menu on the top right corner.
Choose Settings.
Choose the Tab Update in category System.
Choose the next version on the USB stick to update the controller to.
Important: To finish the update to any version, the motors of the robot have to be powered. Skipping the power on can have bad influence on the final software update completion.
Continue with the next firmware update at step 6.
After all updates have been installed, the controller is at the latest software version.

Ist die Software Version gelb markiert, müssen die Updates inkrementell bis Version 5.5 installiert werden.
Ist die Software Version blau markiert, kann direkt auf eine grüne Version geupdated werden.
Ist die Software Version grün markiert, kann direkt auf eine grüne Version geupdated werden.
Downloaden sie die benötigten Update Dateien und extrahieren sie sie auf einen USB-Stick.
Starten sie den Controller.
Stecken sie den USB-Stick am USB-Anschluss des Controllers oder Teach Pendants ein.
Öffnen sie auf dem Teach Pendant auf das Hamburger Menü in der oberen rechten Ecke.
Wählen sie Settings aus.
Wählen sie den Reiter Update in der Kategorie System aus.
Wählen sie die nächste Version auf dem USB-Stick aus auf die der Controller geupdatet werden soll.
Wichtig: Um das Update auf eine Version abzuschließen, müssen die Motoren des Roboters bestromt sein. Das einschalten der Motoren zu überspringen kann den Abschluss des Software Updates negativ beeinflussen.

Sind alle Updates installiert, ist der Controller auf dem neusten Software Stand.
